Faith formation is a life-long journey, which begins at our baptism. Parents teach children the faith at home on a daily basis and are considered the child’s primary catechists. We support parents and encourage the opportunity for children to gather with their peers, and their Faith Family, to augment what they learn daily in their homes about God, the teaching of their faith, and the Roman Catholic Church. We do this by offering formal faith formation which includes catechesis, sacrament preparation, prayer, and service. 

St. Owen Faith Formation provides catechesis and sacramental preparation for children in Grades K-8. St. Owen Faith Formation seeks to provide all children Knowledge of God and the Catholic Faith through classroom instruction, Love of God and Neighbor through Christian Service, and Relationship with God through prayer and sacramental life.

First Communion preparation is typically 2 years (Grades 1-2) and Confirmation preparation is typically 2 years (Grades 7-8). We offer a Sacramental Preparation program for children older than Grade 2 who have not yet received First Communion.
